Nifty and Sensex recover from the morning losses as Finance and Banking stocks show growth. Reliance helps the market to recover with gains of over 3.7%.
At 1:30 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 32,564, down by 44 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 10,211 down by 23 points.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading down by 0.04% at 16,120 whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up by 0.11% at 17,084.
Indiabulls housing finance, RIL, Wipro, Power Grid and ONGC are among the gainers, whereas Axis Bank, Infratel, Yes Bank, ICICI Bank and Tech Mahindra are losing steam on NSE.
Some buying seen in Energy, Utilities, and Power sectors, while Finance, Tech and Bank show weakness on the BSE.
The INDIA VIX is down by 0.86% at 11.51.
Out of 1,972 stocks traded on the NSE, 777 advanced, 838 declined, and 357 remained unchanged today.
A total of 70 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 24 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
Reliance Ind hits 52-week high; Stock gains over 2%.
BSE Telecom Index drops 2%. Infratel (-3%), Idea Cellular (-2%), Airtel, RCom (-1%).
Nifty Pharma Index falls 1%. Cipla (-3%), Divi's Lab, Aurobindo, Sun Pharma (-1%).
