Nifty and Sensex catch the downtrend as several sectors lose steam. Pharma sector continues to trade strong with Divi’s Lab in the lead.
the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 33,580, down by 19 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 10,425 down by 14 points.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up by 0.41% at 16,714.05 whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up by 0.14% at 17,722.50.
Aurobindo Pharma, Dr Reddy’s Lab, Lupin, HCL, and Sun Pharma are among the gainers, whereas Tech Mahindra, ITC, Mahindra & Mahindra, Hindalco, and SBI Bank are losing steam on NSE.
Some buying seen in Energy, Finance, Healthcare Utilities, Consumer Durables, and Power, whereas FMCG, Industrials, Auto, Telecom, Metal, Reality and Teck sectors show weakness on the BSE.
The INDIA VIX is down by 1.66% at 11.93.
Out of 1,975 stocks traded on the NSE, 728 advanced, 907 declined, and 340 remained unchanged today.
A total of 72 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 9 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
