Nifty and Sensex trading weak as the gains in IT and FMCG sectors get nullified by the losses in other sectors. PSU Banks slip over 1.5%, with PNB, Indian Bank, and Union Bank losing over 3%. HCL lead the IT sector by gaining over 3.5%

　　

At 12:40 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 33,674, down by 56 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 10,435 down by 16 points.

The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading down by 0.50% at 16,706.49 whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading down by 0.16% at 17,882.12

HCL, TCS, Infosys, Zee Entertainment, and Tech Mahindra are among the gainers, whereas YES Bank, UPL, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Indian Oil, and Reliance are losing steam on NSE.

Some buying seen in IT, FMCG, and Teck sectors, whereas Energy, Telecom, Consumer Durables, and Oil & Gas sectors show weakness on the BSE.

The India Vix is up by 1.97% at 13.28.

Out of 1,974 stocks traded on the NSE, 633 advanced, 998 declined, and 343 remained unchanged today.

A total of 110 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 15 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.

ICICI Bank board approves part stake sale in IPO of ICICI Securities.

Nifty Realty Index decline 1%. Unitech, DLF (-2%), Godrej Prop (-1%).

PSU Banks Index slips 2% on spike in govt bond yields. Indian Bank (-4%), PNB, Allahabad Bank (-3%), Bank of Baroda, Syndicate Bank (-2%).

Nifty IT Index gains over 2.5%. HCL Tech, Infofys (+3%), TCS (+2.5%), Tech Mahindra, KPIT (+2%).

Airline Companies stocks slump as crude oil hits 28-month high. SpiceJet (-3.5%), Jet Airways (-4%).

Tata Motors Oct total JLR sales up 0.2% at 46,418 units YoY.

ONGC stock gains 1% as crude hits 2-year high.

Delta Corp stock drops 2% after 39.4 lakh shares change hands in multiple blocks at Rs 281/ s
