The BSE IT index on Wednesday is losing ground, despite of benchmark indices hitting all-time highs. IT major, Infosys is contributing nearly 25% to the index down fall and the stock is has lost 1.4% since opening on the BSE. Other stocks in the sectoral index such as, Zensar Tech is down by 8.9%, DLink India is down by 4.1%, Accleya Kale is down by 1.9%, Trigyn is down by 1.7% and Sasken is down by 1.4% at the time filling this report.
Meanwhile, handfuls of stocks such as, Nucleus is up by 10.3%, NIIT Tech is up by 7%, Ramco System is up by 4.4%, FSL is up by 3%, Mind Tree is up by 2.3% and Persistent is up by 2.1%. The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 30,079 up 136 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9341 up 35 points. A total of 130 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 16 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
