Metal stocks have been shining on the bourses in the Tuesday’s trading session. Hindalco Industries Limited is the top gainer in the bunch of metal stocks trading higher by nearly 4%.
The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 29679 up 265 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9215 up 75 points. A total of 118 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 18 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
Hindalco Industries Limited, Adani Ports, Tata Steel, Bank of Baroda and IOC are among the gainers, whereas Coal India, Mahindra and Mahindra, Ambuja Cements, Sun Pharmaceuticals and Ultratech Cement are losing sheen on NSE in the first trading hour.The INDIA VIX is down 1.74% at 11.68.
