The BSE Mid-cap index is trading in line with the major indices in the market on Tuesday. The Biocon Limited is the top gainer in the index trading higher by over 10% at Rs 1175.8 per share. The Indian Bank is trading higher by nearly 9% at Rs 312.05 per share owing to its strong quarterly results for the quarter ended March 31, 2017.

There are 906 advances, 741 declines and 311 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting strong positive bias floating in the market.

At 2 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 29,884 up 229 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9284 up 67 points. A total of 155 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 15 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
