BSE Metal is one of the top gaining index on the Wednesday, with Hindalco lifting the index to higher levels. The stock is up by 2.6%. Other stocks in the sectoral index such as, JSW Steel is up by 2.7%, Jindal Steel is up by 1.7%, SAIL is up by 1%, Tata Steel is up by 1%, Hindustan zinc is up by 1% and Nalco is up by 0.1%. Meanwhile, NMDC is down by 0.3% and Coal India is down by 0.07%.
 

The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 30,124 up 177 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9356 up 49 points. A total of 124 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 15 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
