Barometer indices Nifty50 index and the 30-share BSE Sensex opened on a blockbuster note on Wednesday. The Nifty50 index opened above its 9300 mark, whereas the BSE Sensex for the first time ever in history crossed it crucial 30,000 mark.
Nucleus Software Exports Limited on Wednesday’s early morning session surged nearly 12% on the BSE, as the company on Tuesday post market hours announced that board of directors of the company has approved the buyback plans.
The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 30,081 up 138 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9341 up 35 points. A total of 102 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 10 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
Some buying activity is seen in realty, Power, Bankex, Auto and Capital Goods while Healthcare, Energy, Oil & Gas are showing weakness on BSE.
Hindalco, Wipro, Gail, HDFC and ITC are among the gainers, Bharti Infratel, Cipla, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Hero Motocorp and Power Grid are losing on the NSE.The INDIA VIX is up 1.5% at 11.
