The BSE Sensex opened down by 86 points at 29996, while the Nifty50 opened higher up by 26 points at 9264 marks. Bharti Infratel is the top Nifty gainer while HDFC is the top Nifty loser in the morning hours.
Bharti Infratel is trading at Rs 334.20 per share up by 1.4% whereas HDFC is trading at Rs 1506.25 per share, down by 1.8%. There are 985 advances, 430 declines and 469 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting some positive bias floating in the market. The rupee opened at 65.07 per dollar and is trading lower at 65.2. Positive opening likely on cues from Asian peers.
