Metal stocks in early morning hours are losing ground on the bourses with Vedanta Limited majorly pulling the BSE Metal index down in the red. The stock is down by 2.3%. While other stocks such as, Hindalco is down by 1.8%, Jindal Steel is down by 1.2%, Coal India is down by 0.8% and Sail is down by 0.6% on the BSE.

The Sun Pharma stock’s volume traded stands at 5,15,045 shares in the morning hours on Monday while traded value stands at Rs 34.78 cr. The stock’s open interest witnessed the addition of 0.8%. The stock is trading lower by 2.3% at Rs 676 per share.
 

The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading down 0.1% at 14337, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading down 0.1% at 14871. Dr Reddy’s Lab, IOC, HDFC and Adani Ports are among the gainers, whereas Infratel, Sun Pharma, Hindalco, Ambuja Cement and Asian Paints are losing on the NSE. The INDIA VIX is up 3.7% at 12.
