The Nifty PSU Bank -- a top sector index gainer -- was up nearly 3% at around 11:20AM today, off its October high of 4335.20 and lifetime high of 4639.90.

Syndicate Bank and Allahabad Bank were among big state-owned bank gainers. Among bank stocks in the Nifty 50, shares of ICICI Bank were up 4.6%, while those of State Bank of India traded up 3.3%; Shares of Axis Bank rose 2.8% to Rs 537.95.

Syndicate Bank is currently trading at Rs 91.05, up by Rs 8.6 or 10.43% from its previous closing of Rs 82.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 90.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs 94 and Rs 90 respectively. So far 19691059(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs 7457.93 crore.

Allahabad Bank is currently trading at Rs 83.15, up by Rs 4.75 or 6.06% from its previous closing of Rs 78.4 on the BSE.
