BSE Consumer Durables index is trading in positive territory. Plastic products manufacturer, Nilkamal Limited is the top gainer in the index trading higher by 6.4% at Rs 1977 per share.
Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited stock is trading higher by 1.9% at Rs 202 per share. The stock is contributing the most to the BSE Consumer Durables index gains.
At 12 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 29211 down 210 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9039 up 68 points. A total of 58 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 23 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
There are 651 advances, 928 declines and 349 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting fairly negative bias floating in the market.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading down 0.3% at 13810, while BSE Small-cap Index is trading higher by 0.11% at 14062.
All the sectoral indices on BSE are trading in negative territory except BSE Consumer Durables index index.
Bank of Baroda, Bharti Infratel, IndusInd Bank, Infosys and Hindustan Unilever Limited are among the gainers, whereas Idea, Tata Steel, Hindalco, Coal India and Reliance Industries Limited are losing sheen on NSE.
