Infosys is the top Nifty loser trading at Rs 1010 per share, down by 2.4%. The stock is dragging the BSE Information Technology index. IT giant, TCS is also showing weakness on the bourses trading at Rs 2508 per share, down by 2.1%.
Idea Cellular Ltd is buzzing with gains of 9.75% trading at Rs 113 per share. The stock is surging on the buzz of Idea ATC deal of tower business and ahead of Idea-Vodafone merger deal.
There are 911 advances, 669 declines and 338 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting some positive bias floating in the market. At 12 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 29403 down 38 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9083 down 3 points. A total of 40 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 22 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.7% at 13651, while BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.6% at 13845. Some buying activity is seen in Capital Goods, Metal, Pharma, Auto, while Information Technology, FMCG, Capital Goods and Utilities are showing weakness on BSE.
Idea, Bank of Baroda, Grasim, Aurobindo Pharma, Adani Ports and Reliance Industries Limited are among the gainers, whereas TCS, Infosys, Hindustan Unilever, HCL Tech and Bharti Airtelare losing sheen on NSE. The INDIA VIX is up 0.1% at 12.4.
