ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank are contributing the most to the Sensex and Bankex gains. Both the stocks are top gainers in Sensex. ICICI Bank is trading at Rs 284 per share, higher by 5%. HDFC Bank is trading at Rs 1416 per share, up by 3%.
NBCC (Inida) Limited on Tuesday's trading session is rallying on bourses. The stock is up by nealry 5% on intraday basis and hit a high of Rs 178 per share. Gitanjali Gems in opening sessions is soaring on bourses and the stock is up near 6%. The stock hit a high of Rs 69 per share on ihtraday basis.
At 10 AM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 29417 up 471 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9073 up 138 points. A total of 42 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 22 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 1% at 13502, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 1% at 13738. Some buying activity is seen in Capital Goods, Bankex, Pharma, Auto, while Metal is showing weakness on BSE. ICICI Bank, LT, HDFC, Grasim, Yes Bank and Ultra Tech Cement are among the gainers, whereas Bosch, Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Auto and Gail are losing sheen on NSE in the first trading hour. The INDIA VIX is down 12% at 12.
