Healthcare stocks such as, Jubilant Life Sciences is up by 8.2%, Sun Pharma is up by 6.2%, Sparc is up by 6%, Lyka Labs is up by 4.4%, Ipca Labs is up by 2.9% and Biocaon is up y 2.5% on the BSE.
Meanwhile some stock in the BSE Healtcare index are trading in red such as, Alembic Pharma is down by 2.8%, Alkem isd down by 2.2%, Themis Med is down by 2.1% and Aarti Drugs is down by 2%.
At 2 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 29470 up 524 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9095 up 160 points. A total of 57 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 32 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 1.4% at 13564, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 1.1% at 13760.
Some buying activity is seen in Capital Goods, Bankex, Pharma, Auto, Finanace and Healtcare while Telecom nd Metal is showing weakness on BSE.
ICICI Bank, Sun Pharma, LT, Yes Bank and Asian Paints are among the gainers, whereas Bosch, Bharti Airtel, Idea and Sun Parma are losing sheen on NSE . The INDIA VIX is down 11% at 12.
