BSE Consumer Durables index is trading in green and is up by 56 points. Some stocks in the index like, Symphony is up by 2.3%, Cropmton Greaves is up by 1.8%, Blue Star is up by 1.6%, PC Jeweller is up by 1.5% and Rajesh Exports is up by 0.4%.
Meanwhile, TTK Prestige is down by 1.1%, Titan is down by 0.6% and Whirlpool is trading flattish in the index.
At 2 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 29,493 up 161 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9,122 up 36 points. A total of 62 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 26 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.3% at 13,895, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.6% at 14,113.
Some buying activity is seen in Realty, FMCG, Utilities, Capital Goods and Metal indices, while IT and Oil & Gas indices are showing weakness on BSE.
Bank of Baroda, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, ITC and Axis Bank are among the gainers, whereas Tech Mahindra, ONGC, Tata Motors, Zeel and Grasim are losing on the NSE.
The INDIA VIX is down 0.7% at 11.7.
