Metal Stock are buzzing on bourses, Hindustan Zinc is up by 2.7%, Vedanta Steel is up by 1.9%, Coal India is up by 1.3%, NMDC is up by 1.2% and Tata Steel is up by 0.9% on Thursday's.
While JSW Steel is the only stock in the BSE Metal index trading in red and is down by 0.03%
At 3 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 29265 up 97 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9085 up 55 points. A total of 59 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 28 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.8% at 13839, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.9% at 14036.

Yes Bank, GAIL, NTPC, TCS, Bosch Limited and Tata Motors are among the gainers, whereas ITC, Bank of Baroda, Eicher Motors, Bosch Limited, Hindustan Unilever Limited and BHEL are losing sheen on NSE. The INDIA VIX is down 2.9% at 11.9.
