Dishman Pharmaceutical & Chemicals in Tuesday's pre-opening session is sizzling on the bourses, and the stock is up by 20% at Rs 278.70, as the company received US FDA approved cancer drug, Zejula for Tesaro Inc.
The BSE IT index is the top gaining index on Tuesday’s opening trade, with Infosys contributing nearly 35% to the index gains. Infosys is up by 0.6%.
At 10 AM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 29381 up 143 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9093 up 48 points. A total of 57 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 18 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.6% at 13904, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.8% at 14183.
Some buying activity is seen in Realty index, FMCG, Utilities, Capital Goods indices, while Energy and Oil & Gas indices are showing weakness on BSE.
Infratel, Idea, Aurobindo Pharma, HCL Tech and Axis Bank are among the gainers, whereas Tech Mahindra, ONGC, Gail, Coal India, Hero MotoCorp and ITC are losing on the NSE. The INDIA VIX is down 1.7% at 12.2.
