Healthcare stocks tank as markets come near to their close. Stocks such as, Poly Medicure is down by 7%, Torrent Pharma is down by 2%, Abbot India is down by 1.9%, Dishman Pharma is down by 1.8% and Pfizer is down by 1.5%.
Meanwhile, Kopran is up by 2.5%, Ipca Labs is up by 1.8% and Gufi Bioscience is up by 1.2%.
At 3 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 29,46 up 134 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9,116 up 30 points. A total of 62 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 26 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.06% at 13,862, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.4% at 14,087. Some buying activity is seen in Realty, FMCG, Utilities, Capital Goods and Metal indices, while IT and Oil & Gas indices are showing weakness on BSE.
Bank of Baroda, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, ITC and Axis Bank are among the gainers, whereas Tech Mahindra, ONGC, Tata Motors, Zeel and Grasim are losing on the NSE. The INDIA VIX is up 0.3% at 11.8.
