BSE Oil and Gas index is trading lower by 0.5% at 13269 levels. BPCL and ONGC are collectively dragging the index.BPCL is trading down by 1.3% at Rs 624 per share. ONGC is trading down by 0.6% at Rs 188 per share.

Jindal Steel & Power Limited is the top gainer in the Nifty Metal index. The stock is trading at Rs 124.6 per share, up by 5.4%.MOIL Limited secures second position in the Nifty Metal index, trading at Rs 319.5 per share, up by 4%.

There are 842 advances, 695 declines and 384 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting some positive bias floating in the market. The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 28971 up 42 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8937 up 10 points. A total of 26 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 21 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
