BSE Healthcare along with BSE Telecom is trading up by over 1% on a flat day. Cipla, Glenmark Pharma & Sun Pharma contribute 60% to BSE Healthcare Index gains. Shares of Granules India is up by 7.10%, Unichem Lab is up by 5.42%, Natco Pharma is up by 4.87%.
At 12 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 28167.95 down 59.73 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8716 down 18.25 points. A total of 61 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 10 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.70% at 13297.30, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.79% at 13383.90.
Some buying activity is seen in Telecom, Utilities, Healthcare indices, while Basic Materials, FMCG, Industrials, IT indices are showing weakness on BSE.
Bank of Baroda, Cipla, Infratell, IndusInd Bank and BHEL are among the gainers, whereas BPCL, ICICI Bank, Eicher Motors, Zeel and ACC are losing sheen on NSE. The INDIA VIX is down 0.81% at 13.41.
