The Sensex has cracked over 200 points and Tata Motors is contributing nearly 100 points to the Sensex fall. 8 stocks are advancing in the index; whereas 21 stocks are declining, indicating a bearish tone in the market.
Tata Motors is the highest loser in the index, and has lost nearly 10%. The company declared poor results which is the major reason for the stock to plunge.The stock on Tuesday posted its biggest fall in the last three months, after the Q3FY17 results were declared.
In the last one year, the stock has surged by 42.41%, outperforming the BSE Auto index and the Sensex. HDFC Mutual Fund is the top fund house which has invested in the stock of the company.
Tata Motors Ltd is currently trading at Rs 441.8, down by Rs 45 or 9.24% from its previous closing of Rs 486.8 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs 449 and has touched a high and low of Rs 453.25 and Rs 438.15 respectively. So far 35915685(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs 155736.69 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.73 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 39.04 % and 26.24 % respectively.
The stock is currently trading below its 100 DMA.
