BSE Metal index is trading at 11695.6 levels, down by 26.13 points or 0.22%. VEDL, SAIL and Hindalco are contributing the most to the index's loss.SAIL is trading at Rs 63.05 per share, down by 4.32%.
Nifty Media index is trading at 3005.05 levels, down by 17.85 points or 0.59%. TV18 is up by 2.23%, PVR is up by 2.18%, Network 18 is up by 1.72%, Dainik Jagran is up by 0.78% and Dish TV is up by 0.63%.
Whereas, Den is down by 1.71%, Zee Entertainment Limited is down by 1.47%, Sun TV is down by 0.87% and Hathway is down by 0.54%.PVR and Sitinet are trading close to their 52-w high of Rs 1340 and 41.35 respectively.
The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 28360.09 up 30.39 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8799.10 up 20.70 points. A total of 63 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 7 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up by 0.02% at 13509.2, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.41% at 13638.96.Some buying activity is seen in Capital Goods, Consumer Durables and Information Technology while Oil & Gas, Energy, FMCG, Healthcare are showing weakness on BSE.
Grasim, Bank of Baroda, Tech Mahindra, Adani Ports, and SBIN are among the gainers, whereas Aurobindo Pharma, ZEEL, Cipla, BPCL and Lupin Pharma are losing sheen on NSE. The INDIA VIX is up 0.28% at 13.27.
