Tata Motors has witnessed heavy short built up position in Wednesday’s trading session, and is the most active stock of the day. BSE Auto index is down since morning in Wednesday’s trading session. Major stocks in the index are trading in red, Tata Motors is down by 9.72%, Eicher Motors is down by 2.86% and Motherson Sumi is down by 2.74%.
Tata Motors is contributing almost 56% to the Sensex downfall. The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 28179.25 down 160.07 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8731.35 down 60.95 points. A total of 28 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 20 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading down 1.06% at 13201.81, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading down 1.39% at 13251.88. Some buying activity is seen in Basic Materials, Energy, Healthcare, Industrials, Telecom & FMCG is showing weakness on BSE.
Zeel, Bosch, ITC, HDFC Bank and M&M are among the gainers, whereas Tata Motors DVR, Tata Motors, Sun Pharma and BHEL are losing sheen on NSE in the first trading hour. The INDIA VIX is up 3.04% at 14.22.
