The INDIA VIX is down 1.75% at 13.49. S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 28463.99 up 162.01 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8815.85 up 37.85 points. A total of 25 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 7 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE. Nifty Bank hits all time high. HDFC Bank and Canara Bank fuel the rally in banking stocks.

Benchmark indices made an outstanding start on the last day of the week. HDFC Bank is the main reason for the for the uplifting of Sensex. The Bankex currently is trading up by 630 points.The BSE Bankex index is inching close to its 52-w high of 23923.29 mark.

The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.30% at 13392.28, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.30% at 13454.56.Some buying activity is seen in Finance, Helthcare, Auto, Bankex, whereas, Telecom & FMCG are showing weakness on BSE.HDFC Bank, IndusInd Bank, HDFC and Bosch are among the gainers, whereas Infratel, Idea, Infosys and TCS are losing sheen on NSE in the first trading hour. The INDIA VIX is down 1.75% at 13.49.
