Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. from BSE Mid-cap Select index is trading at Rs 538.80 per share, down by Rs 20.85 per share or 3.73%.Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company Ltd. is the top gainer in the BSE Small-cap Select index trading at Rs 335 per share, up by Rs 15 per share or 4.69%.Adani Enterprises limited is the top gainer in the BSE Mid-cap index trading at Rs 99.20 per share, up by Rs 3.25 per share or 3.39%.
There are 991 advances, 546 declines and 370 unchanged stocks on NSE in the morning hours on Tuesday reflecting strong positive undertone in the market.The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 28841.88 up 29 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8901.70 up 5 points. A total of 42 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 10 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.12% at 13550.35, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.43% at 13668.79.Some buying activity is seen in Capital Goods, Metal, Pharma, Auto, while Oil & Gas and Energy are showing weakness on BSE.
Bharti Airtel, Bharti Infratel, Larson & Toubro, Bank of Baroda and Tech Mahindra are among the gainers, whereas Idea, Coal India, Hindustan Unilever, ITC and Ambuja Cements are losing sheen on NSE in the first trading hour.The INDIA VIX is trading flat at 13.67.
