BSE Energy index stocks are buzzing, while Reliance alone contributing almost 90% to the sectoral index gains and lifting the index to higher levels.Reliance is up by 7.25%, Hindustan oil Exploration is up by 3.65%, Aban Offshore is up by 2.30% and Coal India is up by 2.00%.

Whereas, Chennai Petrol is down by 2.11%, Castrol India is down by 1.41% and Hindustan Petroleum is down by 0.57%.RIL, Jindal Worldwide, REC, National Fertiliser hit 52-week high on Wednesday’s session.

There is long built up position seen in Reliance Industries Limited and BPCL whereas Exide Industries, Bharat Electronics Limited and Power Grid witnessed short built up position in the morning hours on Wednesday.

The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 28878.75 up 118.32 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8942 up 34.15 points. A total of 40 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 10 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.

The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.13% at 13602.40, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.15% at 13671.73.Some buying activity is seen in Energy, Finance, Utilities, Auto and Bankex whereas, FMCG, Healthcare, IT and Capital Goods are showing weakness on BSE.

Reliance, Axis Bank, Infratel, Asian Paints and Tata Power are among the gainers, whereas Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Sun Pharma and Eicher Motors are losing on the NSE.The INDIA VIX is down 0.07% at 13.52.
