IT stocks gain in early hours of trade on Monday. Infosys is contributing nearly 70% to the sectoral index's gains and is lifting it to higher levels.
Datamatics Global Services is up by 4.66%, D Link India is up by 4.30%, Nucleus Software Exports is up by 2.78%, Accelya Kale is up by 2.42%, Polaris Consulting & Services is up by 1.79% and Subex is up by 2.00%.
Whereas, TVS Electronics is down by 3.32%, Aptech is down by 2.78%, Intra Soft Technologies is down by 2.18% and Smartlink Network Systems is down by 1.85%.
The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 28318.17 down 18.96 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8790.60 down 2.95 points. A total of 48 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 9 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading down 0.09% at 13456.59, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading down 0.15% at 13581.17. Some buying activity is seen in FMCG, Banking and Finance. While Energy, Healthcare and Telecom indices are showing weakness on BSE.
