Nifty, Sensex Rebound To End Higher On Eve Of GST

After a choppy start, Nifty closed at 9,520 level up by 16 points above its 50-DMA of 9,474 and Sensex closed at 30,921 level up by 64 points. Bank of Baroda was the top gainer on Nifty and Tata Motors was the top loser on Friday. The broader market indices closed higher in the Friday’s trading session. BSE Mid-cap index closed at 14,644 level higher by 91 points or 0.63% and BSE Small-cap index closed at 15,410 higher by 100 points or 0.66%.There were 862 advances, 781 declines and 306 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting investor’s mixed sentiments ahead of GST rollout.

Bank Nifty closed lower by 16 points at 23,211 level. Bank of Baroda was top gainer in the index closed higher by 4.05% at Rs 161.8 per share. A leading research agency upgraded its view on Bank of Baroda insisting that the bank's loan book could witness healthy growth in FY17-19.

FMCG heavyweight, ITC Limited was the top gainer in FMCG space and was the stock of the day. ITC’s upward rally during the closing hour single-handedly pushed Nifty and Sensex to the green zone. ITC touched its all-time high of Rs 324.7 per share, up by 4.2% and closed higher by 3.66% at Rs 323 per share.

Nifty Pharma index was the second top gainer among sectoral indices on NSE, after Nifty FMCG index closed higher by 178 points at 9,606 level. Sun Pharma was the top gainer in the index closed higher by Rs 19.1 per share or nearly 4% at Rs 556 per share.

CDSL listed on the NSE with whopping premium of 68% and closed at Rs 260.7 per share higher by 75% against its issue price of Rs 149 per share on its very first day of trading.

AU Small Finance Bank IPO also got a stellar response on its last day of subscription on Friday. The issue got subscribed by 38.47 times as of 1530 hours.

ITC Limited is in the upward trend in morning hours on Friday.CDSL made a stellar debut, opening at Rs 250 per share on its very first day of trading on Friday at a premium of 67.7% as against its issue price of Rs 149 per share.

The stock has been moving higher and higher in first few minutes of trading. The stock has touched its intraday high of Rs 268 per share with the gains of nearly 80% against its issue price.The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 30790 down 67 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9478 down 25 points. A total of 22 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 27 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.

Nifty Settles June F&O Series Above 9,500, Sensex Pares Gains To End Flat

NSE Nifty closed at 9,504 down by 12 points, whereas BSE Sensex closed lower by 23 points at 30,857.BSE Mid-cap index closed higher by 0.34% at 14,552. BSE Small-cap index closed higher by 0.98% at 15,310. India VIX closed lower by 5.06% at 11.3 level.

There were 952 advances, 452 declines and 61 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting positive undertone floating in the market. NSE has recorded highest ever turnover in F&O segment on Thursday. The total turnover in F&O segment in today's trade stood at around Rs 14.1 lakh crore.

Vedanta, Axis Bank, Tata Steel and Indiabulls Housing FInnace are the top Nifty gainers, whereas Tata Motors DVR, Kotak Mahindra bank, State Bank of India and Tata Motors are the top Nifty losers.Bharti Airtel touched a four-month high of Rs 386, higher by 2.4% on BSE. It extended its 3% gains of the last two trading sessions. The stock closed in positive territory gaining over 1% at Rs 382.60 per share.

Manpasand Beverages soared over 3% as the board of the company fixed record date for the purpose of payment of dividend to the eligible shareholders as on August 11, 2017. The stock closed over 3% at Rs 773.00 per share on BSE. At the closing hour on Thursday, sectoral indices in BSE ended with mixed sentiments wherein Energy and Healthcare indices were the major losers in Thursday’s trade and Metal, Telecom & Realty indices were the major gainers.

Besides, the regulator has suggested for rationalising ‘fit and proper’ criteria for FPIs as well as simplifying broad-based requirements for such investors.

Godrej Agrovet is involved in agri-inputs, animal feeds, dairy and poultry and palm oil manufacturing.The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31,064 up 223 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9561up 70 points. A total of 20 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 22 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.

The BSE Sensex opened higher by 76 points at 30910, while the Nifty50 opened higher by 31 points at 9522 mark.Axis Bank is the top Nifty gainer and NTPC is the top Nifty loser in the morning hours.There are 963 advances, 369 declines and 471 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting a positive bias floating in the market.

Nifty50 index has immediate support placed in the range of 9,450, and if it holds below 9,450, it may trigger fresh selling towards 9,420 and then 9,400 level, while on the upside, resistances are seen at the level of 9,550.

The rupee opened at 64.46 per US dollar appreciated by 9 paise. On Wednesday, the rupee weakened further to close with a marginal loss of 2 paise at 64.55 against the American currency in limited trade on the back of stray dollar demand from importers.

The US stocks showed a strong move to the upside on Wednesday. The Dow climbed 144 points to 21,455. The Nasdaq advanced 88 points to finish at 6,234 and the S&P 500 jumped 21 points to 2,441.

Asian stocks edge higher in early trade on Thursday, following a rebound in the US markets. Japan’s Nikkei 225 has surged 104 points; Hong Kong’s Hang Seng has gained 175 points, while China’s Shanghai Composite has gained 4 points.

Nifty Closes Lower For 6th Straight Session,1st Time In 2017

NSE Nifty closed at 9,491 down by 20 points, whereas BSE Sensex closed lower by 123 points at 30,834.BSE Mid-cap index closed higher by 0.23% at 14,502. BSE Small-cap index closed higher by 0.13% at 15,161. India VIX closed higher by 4.1% at 11.9 level. There were 845 advances, 785 declines and 320 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting mixed sentiments floating in the market.

Tech Mahindra, Yes Bank and Vedanta are the top Nifty gainers, whereas Reliance Industries, Asian Paints & HDFC are the top Nifty losers in Wednesday’s trade.

National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) on Tuesday announced provisional ceiling prices for 761 medicines, including HIV, diabetes, anti-cancer and antibiotic. Prices for a majority of drugs are being reduced as the GST regime is nearing its implementation deadline of July 1.

Heavyweight pharma stocks such as Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries closed at Rs 545.20 per share up by 0.29%, Cipla closed higher by 0.51% at Rs 537.05 per share and Cadila Healthcare closed higher by 0.67% at Rs 529.00 per share on BSE in Wednesday’s trade. Fortis Healthcare rallied nearly 4% as markets buzz suggested that its diagnostic arm may list on the bourses. The stock closed by Rs 166.95 per share up 1.15% on BSE.

Welspun Enterprises surged nearly 7% on BSE. The stock also hit a 52-week high value at Rs 122.25. It witnessed a spurt in the volume by more than 4.26 times. The stock closed higher by Rs 114.95 per share on BSE.

ABG Shipyard hit the roof during Wednesday’s trading session as market speculations suggest that UK Liberty House is in talks to buy the debt-burdened company. The stock ended up by 4.97% at Rs 13.72 per share on BSE. The stock was locked in upper circuit of 5% at Rs 13.72 on the BSE in its opening trade. The stock has been hitting its upper circuit for the 5th straight session on Wednesday.

Motherson Sumi shares witnessed a jump by 1% as the shareholders approved the issuance of bonus shares to existing shareholders. The stock ended bearish slipping 1.55% at Rs 462.65 per share on BSE.

The BSE Capital Goods is one of the top losing indices on Wednesday. Axis Bank is majorly contributing to the index losses and dragging it to lower level. BEML was down 2.5% at Rs 1438 per share.Other stocks viz. Reliance Defence and Engineering was down 2.0% at Rs 58.65 per share, Suzlon Energy was down 2.2% at Rs 17.70 per share, Finolex Cables was down 1.8% at Rs 467.15 per share, Havells India was down 1.8% at Rs 462.50 per share and GE T&D was down 1.1% at Rs 336.95 per share.

On the contrary, Welspun Corp is surging ahead on the bourses. It was up by 5.7% at Rs 106.35 per share. It also hit a 52-week high value of Rs 107.85.The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 30,812 down 0.47%, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9485 down 0.27%. The BSE Oil & Gas is the top gaining index in the morning session on Wednesday. It is up by 0.42% at 13,358. Indian Oil Corporation is contributing majorly to the index gains and pulling it to higher levels.IOC is trading higher by 1.4% at Rs 395.60 per share.

National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) on Tuesday announced provisional ceiling prices of 761 medicines, including HIV, diabetes, anti-cancer and antibiotic. Majority of drug prices are being reduced as the GST regime is couple of days away.

The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 30,902 down 55 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9497 down 13 points. A total of 10 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 46 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.

The BSE mid-cap Index is trading up 0.02% at 14,466, while BSE small-cap Index is trading down 0.06% at 15,132.Some buying activity is seen in Auto, Utilities & Realty, while Consumer Durables and Capital Goods indices are showing weakness on BSE.IOC, BPCL, GAIL are among the gainers, Asian Paints, ACC & Zee Entertainment Enterprise are losing on the NSE.The INDIA VIX is up 0.8% at 12.6.

Nifty Holds 9500, Sensex Closes Below 31K For First Time Since May 25

Nifty closed at its one month low but managed to hold its 9500 level, closing lower for the fifth straight session, whereas the Sensex closed below 31,000 for the first time since May 25. 17 Stocks in the Nifty50 index closed in green while 34 ended in the red.

NSE Nifty closed at 9511 levels, lower by 63 points or 0.66%, whereas the Sensex closed at 30958 levels, lower by 179 points or 0.58%.On the sectoral front, Financials, IT and Auto indices dragged the markets, while Energy and Telecom ended higher in trade.While, BSE Mid-cap Index closed down by 0.79% at 14468 whereas, BSE Small-cap Index closed down by 1.57% at 15141.

There were 297 advances, 1145 declines and 31 unchanged stocks on NSE, reflecting a bearish undertone floating in the market.IOC was the top Nifty gainer whereas, Bank of Baroda was the top Nifty loser.

Bank Nifty showed weakness for whole trading session of Tuesday. The index was trading lower by 320 points or 1.34% at around 23227 level. Canara Bank and Punjab National Bank were the top losers in Bank Nifty trading lower by more than 4%. Canara Bank closed at Rs 322.55 lower by 4.9%, while PNB closed at Rs.136 lower by 5.3%.

Tejas Networks Limited got listed on BSE at Rs 257 per share which is its issue price. However, the stock surged by over 3% to Rs 265.9 per share in the first few minutes of trading on Tuesday. The stock closed at Rs 262.60 higher by 2.18%.

Shares of Jaypee group companies like Jaiprakash Associates, Jaypee Infratech and Jaiprakash Power Ventures rallied over 12% on BSE. Jaypee Infratech, and Jaiprakash Assocaites was locked in upper circuit during the trade. Jaiprakash Power Ventures surged over 12% at Rs 5.18 per share.

Aviation stocks SpiceJet, Jet Airways and InterGlobe Aviation were trading down in the range of 2% to 4%, for the second straight session as some recovery was seen in crude prices.

Infibeam Incorporation was trading inn green as the company said that its board of directors have approved the sub division/ split of equity shares of the company. The stock closed at Rs 1050 higher by 1.3%.

Though the major indices in the market are trading in negative territory, FMCG stocks have been outperforming the markets on Tuesday.The advance declines ratio stood at 332:1318 at NSE with bears dominating the market.The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 30851 down 286 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9480 down 94 points. Weak Friday For Markets, Nifty Settles Below 9600

The Friday’s trading session witnessed a selloff in banking and auto stocks due to which the markets remained in the red territory.Nifty closed at 9,574 down by 55 points, whereas BSE Sensex closed lower by 152 points at 31,138.HDFC Bank & SBI were contributing nearly 60% to the Bank Nifty downfall. The market breadth was deeply in favour of declines with advance-decline ratio 1:4. There were 264 advances, 1242 declines and 46 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting negative undertone floating in the market.

Power Grid, Vedanta, Sun Pharma, Aurobindo Pharma and Wipro are the top Nifty gainers, whereas Bank of Baroda, IOC, Eicher Motors, Hero Motocorp and Bosch are the top Nifty losers.Housing finance companies were in focus on Friday’s trading session. Stocks such as India Home Loan, Indiabulls Housing Finance, DHFL, PNB Housing Finance, LIC Housing Finance and GIC Housing Finance took a beating and traded in red territory throughout the day.

Indiabulls Real Estate gained nearly 4% as the company said that it is going to raise Rs 500 crore through issue of debentures. The stock closed at Rs 204.45 per share higher by 6.6%.

Reliance Industries, an Indian conglomerate, has put up its best performance in seven years during Friday’s trading session. The stock was trading in the green zone for the eighth consecutive session, giving a blockbuster show since March 19, 2010. The stock closed at Rs 1435 per share, up by 0.13%.

Mindtree was trading higher by 2% as it informed the bourses on that a meeting of the board of directors is scheduled to take place on June 28, 2017, to consider a proposal to buy the company's fully paid-up equity shares. The stock closed at Rs 531.85 per share, higher by 2.1%.

Meanwhile, Fortis Healthcare tanked following the statement by IHH Healthcare Berhad that it is not close to concluding any negotiations to buy controlling stake in the pharmaceutical company, according to a leading business daily. It was down 9.7% at Rs 178.65 per share.The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31,222 down 68 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9,594 down 35 points. A total of 16 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 35 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.

Markets Fails To Hold On To Gains, Nifty Closes Mildly In Red

NSE Nifty closed at 9,630 down by 3 points, whereas BSE Sensex closed higher by 7 points at 31,290.BSE Mid-cap index closed lower by 0.59% at 14,763. BSE Small-cap index closed lower by 0.55% at 15,609. India VIX closed higher by 0.1% at 10.6 level.

Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries, Aurobindo Pharma and HDFC are the top Nifty gainers, whereas IOC, Lupin, Hindalco are the top Nifty losers.
BEML, Titagarh Wagons & Siemens gained on Thursday’s trade as Centre is focussing on the development of infrastructures and railway facilities in Rajasthan. BEML closed in positive territory gaining over 2% at Rs 1544.40 per share.

Infosys in the morning hours of Thursday’s trade was among the biggest contributors to the gains in Nifty and Sensex. In the afternoon hours, Infosys was the top Nifty gainer. At the closing hours Infosys ended in negative territory dragging the markets to sheds its morning gains. Infosys closed lower by 0.39% at Rs 940.30 per share on BSE on Thursday.

Indiabulls Real Estate extended its morning’s losses during Thursday’s trading session and hit an intraday low of Rs 174 per share. The stock closed lower by 9.76% at Rs 191.80 per share on BSE on Thursday.

Indiabulls Real Estate promoter group entity IBREL IBL Scheme Trust on Thursday sold 3.3 crore shares of the company for about Rs 662.83 crore through an open market transactions. The stock breached its lower circuit at Rs 180.70. It also witnessed a spurt in the volume by more than 18.73 times. It closed down 9.7% at Rs 191.80 per share on BSE.

Nifty Settles Below 9650, Sensex Consolidates For Second Day

Benchmark indices NSE Nifty closed at 9633 levels, lower by 19 points or 0.21%, whereas the BSE Sensex closed at 31283 levels, lower by 13 points or 0.04%.While, BSE Mid-cap Index closed up by 0.04% at 14850 whereas, BSE Small-cap Index closed up by 0.11% at 15696.

Hindustan Unilever was the top Nifty gainer whereas, ONGC was the top Nifty loser.Sasken Technologies traded on bullish mood on Wednesday’s intra-day trade gaining over 10% as the company’s management informed that the company will expand and diversify beyond their communications business. The stock closed at Rs 440.55 higher by 6.5%.


ABB India surged over 2% at Rs 1,532.00 per share on BSE during pre-lunch hours as ABB Group is in talks with L&T to acquire its electrical and automation division, reported a national news daily. The stock closed at Rs 1506 higher by 0.4%.

Power Grid Corporation of India was trading lower by 0.5% at Rs 207 per share at 1209 hours on BSE. The company’s 25 lakh shares traded in a block deal on NSE at Rs 206.30 per share. The stock closed at Rs 206 lower by 1.1%.

SPML Infra was up by 2.4% as the company received new orders for water supply and irrigation projects worth Rs 642 crore. The stock closed at Rs 129.10 higher by 4.9%.

Monnet Ispat & Energy on the back of rumours of a takeover of the debt-burdened company by public sector Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL). The stock at Rs 40.95 higher by 15.6%.

Indiabulls Real Estate was the buzzing stock on the bourses. It is the most active stock by value in the Wednesday’s trading session. The stock at Rs 212.60 higher by 1.7%.

Goa Carbon on Wednesday surged more than 4% on BSE despite markets trading in red territory. It was trading higher by 4.8% at Rs 258 per share at 1059 hours. The stock closed at Rs 258.80 higher by 5.2%.

CDSL IPO continued to get a huge response from the investors. The IPO issue had got oversubscribed on its first day of subscription. On its last day of subscription on Wednesday, the issue has got oversubscribed by 130.33 times

Karnataka is now the fourth state to announce farm loan waiver program following Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Punjab. The Karnataka government has waived off farmers' loans worth Rs 8,167 crore, reported a national news agency.
