Nifty Auto index is trading almost flat at 10939 level in the closing hour on Thursday. The most expensive auto stocks on the bourses, MRF is trading higher by over 3% at Rs 71,101 per share. Ashok Leyland is trading higher by 2.2% at Rs 94.75 per share.Hero MotoCorp is trading in negative territory at Rs 3787.35 per share. M&M, Bajaj Auto and Eicher Motors are also trading in red zone on Thursday.

The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31229 down 41 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9653 down 10 points. A total of 77 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 30 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
