The BSE Metal is the top gaining index in Thursday’s morning session. It is up 1.4% at 11,303.Vedanta is contributing majorly to the index gains and pulling it to higher levels. Vedanta is up by 1.7% at Rs 246 per share.Other stocks in the index viz. JSW Steel is trading higher by 2.0% at Rs 201 per share, Tata Steel is up by 1.8% at Rs 529 per share, Jindal Steel is up 1.6% at Rs 121 per share, Vedanta is up 1.6% at Rs 246 per share and Hindalco Industries is also up by 1.6% at Rs 192 per share.
26.2 lakh shares of Care Ratings have traded in a block deal at Rs 1,660 per share on Thursday’s morning session. Canara Bank has exited Care Ratings by selling entire 9% stake via a block deal. It has received Rs 432 crore from stake sale, reported a leading business news channel.Crisil has acquired 8.9% stake in Care Ratings at Rs 1,659.79 per share. Care is trading over 10% at Rs 1571.40 per share on BSE.
The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31,028 up 194 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9554 up 63 points. A total of 23 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 23 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
