The BSE Information Technology is the top losing index in the morning session on Monday. It is down by 0.6% at 10031. TCS and Infosys are contributing majorly to the index losses and dragging it to lower levels.
TCS is down by 1.1% at Rs 2481 per share and Infosys is down by 0.4% at Rs 944 per share.
Other stocks in the index viz. Lycos Internet is down 4.9% at Rs 9.60 per share, Mphasis is down 2.4% at Rs 626.25 per share, Aptech is down 1.9% at Rs 197.75 per share, Polaris Consulting is down 1.6% at Rs 221.50 per share, Wipro is down 2% at Rs 525.60 per share, NIIT is down 1.3% at Rs 87.50 per share and Datamatics Global Services is also trading lower by 1.3% at Rs 101.35 per share.
Wipro is the top Nifty loser in the morning session on Monday.
8K Miles, Allsec Technologies, Persistent Systems and Subex are some stocks that are trading in the green territory from the index.
At 10 AM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31113 down 148 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9620 down 47 points. A total of 57 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 31 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
