Nifty Metal index is trading higher by 1.42% at 2966 level. Metal stocks have been gaining grounds in the morning hours on Thursday. Jindal Steel is the top gainer in the index trading higher by around 4.11% at Rs 124 per share.
Tata Steel is also eye-catcher in the index trading higher by close to 4% at Rs 508.35 per share. Other metal stocks like JSW Steel, APL Apollo Tubes Limited, SAIL were trading in green zone.Some buying activity is seen in Capital Goods, Finance, Metal, Auto, while FMCG, IT, PSU Banks and Realty are showing weakness on NSE.
Tata Steel, Dr Reddy’s, HDFC, Hindalco and Tata Motors are among the gainers, whereas TCS, Bharti Infratel, Tata Power, Adani Ports and GAIL are losing sheen on NSE in the first trading hour.The INDIA VIX is up 0.64% at 10.96.
