The BSE Healthcare is one of the top gaining indices on Thursday. It is up by 1.1% at 14401. Aurobindo Pharma and Sun Pharma are contributing to the index gains and pulling it to higher level.
Aurobindo Pharma is up 6% at Rs 637.55 per share and Sun Pharma is trading higher by 1.3% at Rs 545.70 per share.
Other stocks in the index viz. Aarti Drugs is up 4.4% at Rs 522.30 per share, Strides Shasun is up 3.9% at Rs 966 per share, Wockhardt is up 2.9% at Rs 643 per share, Divi’s Labs is up 2.6% at Rs 660 per share and Marksans Pharma is also up by 2.8% at Rs 43.65 per share.
Meanwhile, Dredging Corporation of India is buzzing on the bourses. It is up 10.1% at Rs 667.70 per share.
At 12 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31133 down 22 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9593 down 24 points. A total of 75 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 29 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
The BSE mid-cap Index is trading up 0.03% at 14804, while BSE small-cap Index is trading up 0.49% at 15665.
Some buying activity is seen in Healthcare, FMCG and Realty indices, while IT, Bankex and Capital Goods indices are showing weakness on BSE.
