The BSE Healthcare is the top gaining index during pre-lunch hours on Monday. It is up by 0.4% at 14294. Sun Pharmaceutical Industries is majorly contributing to the index gains and pulling it to higher levels. Sun Pharma was up by 2.3% at Rs 536.90 per share.

Other stocks viz. Gufic Biosciences was up by 7% at Rs 73.70 per share, Unichem Laboratories was up 3.6% at Rs 262.45 per share, Cadila Healthcare was up 2.7% 555.85 per share, Bliss GVS Pharma was up 2.6% at Rs 171.50 per share, Granules India was up by 1.6% at Rs 143.90 per share, Biocon was up 1.5% at Rs 1038.60 per share and Alkem Laboratories was trading higher by 1% at Rs 1908 per share.

Meanwhile, Bharat Gears is buzzing on the bourses. It was trading higher by 8.2% at Rs 141.20 per share. At 1 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31112 down 149 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9626 down 42 points. A total of 78 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 40 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.

The BSE mid-cap Index is trading down 0.35% at 14823, while BSE small-cap Index is trading down 0.23% at 15513. Some buying activity is seen in Healthcare and Realty indices, while Finance, Industrials and Auto are showing weakness on BSE.

Tech Mahindra, Sun Pharma, GAIL and Yes Bank are among the gainers, whereas L&T, Bank of Baroda, Wipro and ICICI Bank are losing on the NSE.
