The BSE Information Technology is the top losing index during pre-lunch hours on Wednesday. It is down by 2.8% at 10220. Infosys and TCS together are majorly contributing to the index losses and dragging it to lower levels.Infosys is down by 3.2% at Rs 948 per share and TCS is down by 3.9% at Rs 2590 per share.
Other IT stocks such as Hexaware Technologies is down 6.1% at Rs 242.50 per share, Mindtree is down by 3.8% at Rs 526 per share, Wipro is down by 3.8% at Rs 539 per share, Tech Mahindra is down 3.1% at Rs 395 per share, Tata Elxsi is down 2.8% at Rs 1496 per share and Polaris Consulting is also down by 2.9% at Rs 219 per share.The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31209 up 18 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9642 up 5 points. A total of 48 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 36 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
