The BSE Sensex opened higher by 68 points at 31351, while the Nifty50 opened higher by 9 points at 9642 mark.Reliance is the top Nifty gainer and GAIL is the top Nifty loser in the morning hours. here are 984 advances, 439 declines and 461 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting a positive bias floating in the market.

Nifty50 index has strong support placed in the region of 9,580-9,600 and if it slips below this zone it may slide further up to levels of 9,550. On the upside, the level of 9,675-9,680 is a resistance for the Nifty50 index.The rupee opened at 64.53 per US dollar depreciated by 1 paise. On Wednesday, the rupee managed to pare initial losses and closed with a marginal fall of 3 paise at 64.52 to the dollar on Wednesday amid sustained demand for the US currency from importers and banks.
