Nifty is trading near its day’s high in the pre-lunch hours on Monday. The PSU Bank stocks like Bank of Baroda, Bank of India and State Bank of India are trading higher by almost one percentage.Apollo Tyres is the top gainer in the Nifty Auto index trading higher by around 1.9% at Rs 231.45 per share. The stock is witnessing good response since the company recently announced the price hike in its bus and truck tyres to offset the higher raw material prices. The stock is contributing the most to the Nifty Auto index.

The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 30329 up 141 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9445 up 38 points. A total of 79 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 25 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
