The BSE Metal
index is trading in green at 10,963 up by 1.2% on Tuesday. The stocks of
Vedanta, Hindalco Industries and Tata Steel together are contributing
to the index gains and pulling it to higher levels.Vedanta is trading at Rs 228 up by 2.9%, Hindalco Industries is up by
1.3% at Rs 186, Tata Steel is up by 1.3% at Rs 438 and Jindal Steel is
trading at Rs 114 up by 2.6%.Coal India of the BSE Metal index is trading in red at Rs 277 down by 0.4%.
Meanwhile, ABB India is the buzzing stock of the day. It is trading up by 10.08% at Rs 1543 on the BSE. It has surged nearly to 10-year high level.The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 29,952 up 26 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9319 up 5 points. A total of 63 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 15 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.17% at 14779, while BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.44% at 15531.Some buying activity is seen in Metal, Realty and Power, while Healthcare, Telecom and Bankex are showing weakness on BSE.IOC, Tata Steel, Bharti Infratel and Tata Motors are among the gainers, whereas Bank of Baroda, Indiabulls Housing Finance, ICICI Bank and Yes Bank are losing on the NSE.The INDIA VIX is down 3% at 11.3.
