The major indices in the markets traded strong on Monday. Nifty closed at 9446 levels up by 45 points while Sensex closed at 30322 levels up by 133 points. Bank Nifty gained 150 points in trade mainly led by Kotak Mahindra Bank and ICICI Bank.Tata Steel Limited was the top Nifty gainer closed higher by 4.5% at Rs 456.45 per share whereas Aurobindo Pharma stock closed lower by around 1..6% at Rs 613.6 per share.
On NSE, there were 948 advances, 694 declines and 321 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting strong positive bias floating in the market. As reported by a leading business daily, the Kotak Mahindra Bank’s board of directors has recently approved a qualified institutional placements (QIP) issue at a price per share of Rs 913.24 to raise the capital of about Rs 5600 Cr. Also, with the bank’s new 811 service, it has set an ambitious target to double the total customers in next 18-24 months. The stock closed at Rs 973.3 per share higher by 2.1%. The stock touched intraday high of Rs 980.2 per share higher by close to 3%.
Aluminium manufacturing company, Hindalco Industries’ shares on Monday’s trading session rallied nearly 4% on the BSE. The stock hit its intraday high of Rs 198.95 and its intraday low of Rs 191.90 per share.The Apollo Tyres have announced the price hike of around 3% in bus and truck tyres, as reported by the leading business research house. The price hike has incorporated to offset the higher raw materials prices. The stock closed at Rs 232.15 per share up by around 2.13%.

Piramal Enterprises Ltd. closed higher by 9.98% at Rs 2870 per share.

GMR Infrastructure Ltd. closed higher by 6.02% at Rs 17.6 per share.

Alankit Ltd. closed higher by 18.31% at Rs 25.2 per share.

Kansai Nerolac Paints Limited closed higher by 4.97% at Rs 430.6 per share.
