Shares of state-owned Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) made a strong debut on stock exchanges today. HUDCO's shares surged as much as 30% to Rs. 77.85 on National Stock Exchange compared to its issue price of Rs. 60.Heavyweight auto stock are losing ground on the bousrses, with Maruti Suzuki India contributing majorly to the BSE Auto index.

The stock is down by 0.9% on the BSE. Other stock such as, Cummins India is down by 5.6%, Eicher Motors is down by 1.2%, and M&M is down by 0.1%.The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 30618 up 183 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9479 up 50 points. A total of 27 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 19 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.

The INDIA VIX is down 6.4% at 10.9.
