Benchmark index Nifty50 on Monday's opening session was trading lower, but soon after recovered from its lows to hit all time high of 9622. Tech Mahindra is the top Nifty loser since morning hours. The stock is contributing nearly 30% to the BSE IT index and is pulling the index to its lows.Tech Mahindra’s stock slumped 11% on March quarter disappointment.
The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31102 up 74 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9597 up 2 points. A total of 37 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 36 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
The BSE Mid cap Index is trading down 0.6% at 14423, while BSE Small cap Index is trading down 0.5% at 14999. Some buying activity is seen in FMCG, Finance, Metal and Oil & Gas while Heathcare, Realty, Power and Auto is showing weakness on BSE. Indiabulls Housing Finance, ITC, HDFC, and BPCL are among the gainers, whereas Tech Mahindra, Su Pharma, Adani Ports, Aurobindo Pharma are losing on the NSE.
