Nifty Metal index is top gainer among the sectoral indices on NSE. The index is trading higher by 3.6% at 3004 levels. Tata Steel Limited is the top gainer in the index trading higher by close to 6% at Rs 513.55 per share. The stock has extended its morning gains. Hindalco and Vedanta Limited is trading higher by close to 5%.

The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 30964 up 214 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9575 up 65 points. A total of 34 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 33 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 1.17% at 14392, while BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 1.28% at 15038.
