The FMCG heavyweight champion, ITC Limited is one of the top contributors to the gains of major indices in the markets.The Nifty FMCG index is trading higher by 0.6% at around 24263 levels. Jubilant Foodworks Limited is the top gainer in the index and is trading higher by 1.8% at Rs 1044 per share. The other FMCG stocks like Godrej, Hindustan Unilever, Britannia and Tata Global are also trading in positive territory.

Tata Steel Limited is trading higher by 0.59% at Rs 458.75 per share ahead of its financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2017. There are 855 advances, 731 declines and 363 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting mixed sentiments floating in the markets.The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 30461 up 139 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9477 up 31 points. A total of 94 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 18 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
