The BSE Sensex opened at 30,638 up by 173 points, while the Nifty50 opened up by 53 points at 9480 mark. ITC is the top Nifty gainer and BPCL is the top Nifty loser in the morning hours. ITC is trading at Rs 294 per share up by 2.73% whereas BPCL is trading at Rs 695.70 per share, down by 0.96%.

There are 1109 advances, 330 declines and 462 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting some positive bias floating in the market.The rupee opened at 64.52 per US dollar higher by 12 paise on Monday. On Friday, the rupee closed at 64.64 per US dollar.Nifty50 has immediate resistance placed at the level of 9,450, and if Nifty50 holds above 9,450, it is likely to extend its rally up to the level of 9,500. On the downside, Nifty has strong support placed at the level of 9,370.
