Tata Steel, an Indian multinational steel-making company’s share on Wednesday’s early morning session shoot up 4.1% as the company came up with its Q4 earning on Tuesday. The domestic operations of Tata Steel Limited have benefitted from ferro alloys market improvement. The standalone Q4 revenue has beat the street estimates and European operations have been gaining on improved market conditions. Other major stocks in the index such as Jindal Steel, Vedanta, Hindalco and Sail are also trading in green.
Tata Steel is up 4.7% at Rs 478 per share, JSW Steel is up 2.6% at Rs 207 per share, Jindal Steel is up 1.6% at Rs 115 per share, Vedanta is up 1.4% at Rs 241 per share, Hindalco is up 1.4% at Rs 199 per share and Sail is trading up by 1.1% at Rs 62 per share on the BSE.Meanwhile, the stock of Capital First slipped in trade. It is trading down by 3.4% at Rs 736.40 per share.
The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 30,620 up 38 points, while NSE Nifty is trading flat at 9513. A total of 56 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 9 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.22% at 15,112, while BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.13% at 15,730.
