Nifty was oscillating in the red and green zone in Tuesday’s trading session. However, it managed to close above the crucial level of 9300 level at 9313 level up by 9 points. Sensex closed at 29921 higher by 2 points. The broader market indices outperformed the major indices in the market. The BSE Mid-cap index closed at 14855 level up by 0.38% and BSE Small-cap index closed at 15420 level up by 0.31%.

The Bank stocks were buzzing on the bourses in the morning hours wherein Federal Bank was the star performer. Federal Bank touched its intraday high of Rs 115.3 per share, up by 7.3%. Ajmera Realty shoots more than 6% as RERA comes into force. The surge in the stock can be attributed to positive sentiments generated in the realty sector due to the implementation of Real Estate (regulation and Development) Act 2016 from May 1, 2017.


Uttam Galva Steels Ltd. closed at Rs 35.7 per share, up by 15.91%.

Andrew Yule & Company Ltd. closed at Rs 37.25 per share, up by 12.88%.

Indiabulls Housing Finance Limited closed higher by 5.93% at Rs 1076.95 per share.

LIC Housing Finance Limited closed higher by 5.2% at Rs 703.15 per share.
