Infosys and ITC have been the major draggers for the major indices in the market. Infosys is trading at Rs 696.25 per share, down by 1.09% while ITC is trading at Rs 289.7 per share, down by 0.62%. BSE Mid-cap index has been trading in red zone in line with the major indices.Canara Bank has continued to dip further to trade at Rs 351.5 per share, down by 5.26% and is top loser in mid-cap segment.
HPCL is second top loser in the index trading at Rs 368 per share, down by over 4% ahead of ONGC-HPCL merger talks.ONGC is trading at Rs 165.95 per share, up by Rs 2.9 per share or 1.78%.There are 791 advances, 827 declines and 342 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting fairly negative sentiments floating in the market. The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31879 down 75 points, while Nifty is trading at 9874 down 25 points. A total of 66 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 19 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
