Markets surged to trade on record high on today’s trade but Nifty failed to trade in the historic 10,000 level. Nifty closed at 9,966 up 51 points, whereas BSE Sensex closed higher 216 points at 32,245 BSE Mid-cap index closed higher by 0.27% at 15,226. BSE Small-cap index closed higher by 0.27% at 16,035. India VIX closed higher by 2% at 11.3.Reliance Industries, TCS, Indiabulls Housing Finance and HDFC Bank are the top Nifty gainers, whereas Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Vedanta and Tata Steel are the top Nifty losers.Reliance Industries ended Monday’s trade on record high gaining 2.1% at Rs 1619 per share.
Zee Entertainment Enterprises announced on Monday that the company’s board of directors have granted an approval for acquisition of 100% equity stake in India Webportal Private Limited (IWPL).The company has already completed the requisite formalities and has acquired the balance 49% equity stake in IWPL comprising of 12.2 crore equity shares. The stock closed lower by 0.91 % at Rs 551.00 per share.Amtek Auto soared to 4.88% at Rs 31.15 per share on BSE.
