The heavyweights are trading higher by 2.00% and 1.57%.BSE FMCG is the top gaining index in the morning session on Thursay. It is up by 1.0% at 10777.ITC is contributing majorly to the index gains and pushing it to higher levels. ITC is trading higher by 1.6% at Rs 333.95 per share on BSE.Other stocks in the index viz. Kaveri Seed Company is up 3.2% at Rs 653.90 per share, Parag Milk is up 2.5% at Rs 240.00 per share, Marico is up 1.9% at Rs 330.75 per share, Pincon Spirits is up 1.5% at Rs 73.00 per share and Manpasand Beverages is up 1.7% at Rs 774.90 per share.
HUDCO extended its gains on morning trade. The stock on NSE soared 4.3% at Rs 94.00 per share. The stock witnessed heavy traded volume of 2,93,92,172 shares and a traded value of 27,760.91 lakh.The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 32,027 up 223 points, while Nifty is trading at 9878 up 62 points. A total of 60 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 9 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.76% at 15,199, while BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.65% at 16,000.Some buying activity is seen in Finance, Healthcare and Industrials, Metal, Bankex and Auto indices ndiabulls Housing Finance, ICICI Bank and Bharti Airtel are among the gainers whereas Bharti Infratel, IOC, ONGC and IndusInd Bank are losing on the NSE.
